Vantage Travel was founded by Henry Lewis in 1983. The company creates packages for and markets to the 50+ age group. They offer land travel, river cruises, small-ship cruises, expedition cruises, a 36-day around the world and packages that combine land and travel by water.
Since its inception, the company has grown to include 60 different "Memorable Journeys" itineraries in 80 countries across all 7 continents. They've definitely got you covered!
One factor that differentiates Vantage Travel from other travel companies is the fact that the company deals directly with the traveler. It does not work with travel agents. Since commissions are not paid when travel is booked, the savings is passed onto the consumer in the form of lower-priced packages.
Vantage Travel has 18 different European river cruise itineraries that range in length from 7 to 27 days. River cruises are available in France, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria and Eastern Europe, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. Some itineraries combine more than one waterway. The number of itineraries for each river are listed below:
Vantage Travel has its own fleet of 7 ships. All ships have at least a 4-star rating.

Vantage Travel also offers river cruises in other regions of the world. In Vietnam and Cambodia, you can cruise the Mekong River. Or you can cruise the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar. Itineraries are also available for the Yangtze River in China and the Ganges River in India.
And in South America, cruises packages are available on the Amazon River in Peru.
In addition to river cruises, Vantage Travel offers small ship and expedition cruises to destinations such as Antarctica. You'll also find several options for land travel around the globe, including a 36-day around-the-world package.
